Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini, a businessman. She is of Italian (from her maternal great-grandfather), Irish (from her mother), German, English as well as Scottish origins. Lily James (born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson on the 5th of April 1989) is an English actress from the UK. She was trained at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama and made her debut in the British television series Just William (2010). Her breakout moment came in the year 2015, when she portrayed the role of lead in Cinderella the film of fantasy. The actress previously appeared as Lady Rose MacClare as part of the period drama Downton Abbey. James was later cast as the Countess Natasha Rostova in the television version of War & Peace (2016) as well as starring in various films, including the action movie Baby Driver (2017), the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017), The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018) as well as The Dig (2021), as well as the musicals Mamma Mia! Here We Go again (2018) and Yesterday 2019, Her performance as Pamela Anderson in the biographical series Pam & Tommy (2022) earned her nominations for a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award.
